Two Crown King – Zaphod’s (August 5, 2011)

London, Ontario’s Two Crown King came back to Ottawa the other night, to play to a packed house at Zaphod’s. One thing I like about this band is that they get it. They understand the entertainment aspect of the music industry, and construct a show that is filled with mass appeal. Their music is filled with several different influences, such as rock, funk soul and hip-hop. The only negative aspect of the show was the band had to be off the stage by 11, so they could make some club money. (Sure enough, there were people dressed for the club. waiting at the door for the band to finish). As usual, the band was tight.

Singing Their Heart's Out

Sean & Dick’s vocal stylings played off of each other incredibly well. Ajay kinda stole the show when he climbed up on a table for a guitar solo.

The band was so tight (you can tell they rehearse a lot!) Just awesome!! In conclusion, go out of your way to get in on the ground floor with this band, as this is a train that is only going upwards.
