Said The Whale have released their annual Christmas EP. This is the 5th year that the Vancouver group has done this. It’s available at the affordable cost of Pay-What-You-Can from their Bandcamp. All proceeds will go to The St. James Music Academy in Vancouver.

Cat Power has released a new single for the holiday season. “King Rides By” from her 1996 album ‘What Would the Community Think’ has been re-recorded and a new video, featuring the physical prowess of boxer Manny Pacquiao which is streaming below. MP3 downloads are available from her official website, any proceeds are going to the Festival of Children Foundation & The Ali Forney Center.
Soulful singer Macy Gray has announced some details about her new record, set to be released in March. ‘Covered’ will featured tunes by The Arcade Fire, Radiohead, My Chemical Romance, The Eurythmics and more. This will also be a song released today, as a free download through Amazon.
