The Annual Hipster Christmas occured this week in Austin, TX. They call it South By South West but I call it awesome. A major highlight had to be Tom Morello joining Bruce Springsteen to do “The Ghost Of Tom Joad” which you can see a portion of below:

Finally, Billy Corgan things new bands are just poseurs.

The lineup and venues for the 2012 Vans Warped Tour have been announced. Local dates include July 14th in Montreal & July 15th in Toronto (which should be interesting, as it’s at a venue that has stadium seating, and not a ton of space to set up all those stages – The Molson Ampitheatre) – Band List and the entire tour calender is at

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are ready to get back on the road, following Anthony Kiedis’ foot injury earlier this year. Drummer Chad Smith has more here.

Lady Gaga is planning a Media Black following her upcoming interview with Oprah, as she claims she has nothing left to say to the press. We’ll see how long that lasts. This Article claims the eccentric superstar makes $30 Million a year on Twitter.

Flavor Flav open up his fried chicken restaurant in Vegas this week. House Of Flavor is what he’s calling it, and judging by the pictures, it’s exactly what you’d expect from the eccentric rapper. More here.

Ever wonder how much money a big viral video makes? I know I certainly did. Thankfully, Professional Music Geek Alan Cross breaks it down in relation to Walk Off The Earth’s Gotye Cover. Turns out, it isn’t that much.

There is also a killer Foo Fighters show from The Reading Festival in 1995 streaming on their site. The player is an interactive cassette player. It’s pretty cool.
